AND ANOTHER ONE
I have officially completed an entire year at Life Leadership College!
I cannot believe how fast the time flew and how much has changed since I first started in 2017.
This past year has been the biggest year in growth and change than I've ever experienced. It's been tough, growing pains are never comfortable. But I wouldn't trade this time for anything.
I was talking with Sam on the way to a New Years Eve party and I was just reminiscing on a memory from the past semester, and a thought went through my mind
I'm going to really miss LLC when I graduate.
I will look back on this time in my life for years and years to come and pin point all of the areas of growth that were producing fruit because of my time here.
I can't wait to put into action the things that I've learned here. Thankfully I have another year and a half to go so I'm not leaving any time soon!
I do not have anything super inspirational to say other than two things that I've learned in life from this decision:
I would never have experienced this part of my life here at LLC if I didn't take a risk.
I left my full-time paying job, IN MINISTRY, to continue my education, while working only part time at minimum wage.
This was extremely uncomfortable for me at the time, however out of that produced this amazing experience. There is an illustration that explains the well.
Taking risks are uncomfortable because it costs something. Staying comfortable costs nothing.
You will never know where you can go, or what you can do if you do not take risks. It's scary, trust me, but it is so worth it.
This season in my life has been CRAZY. Full-time (and then some) college + internship, wedding planning, working part-time, and maintain (kinda) a social life.
It's stressful, and I can't do it alone.
When you are in moments of continuous craziness, you simply can't do it on your own. Surround yourself with people that are going to walk alongside you, encourage you, and help keep you standing. I have my fiancé, my best friend Kelsey, and my other friends at school and such that are continually supporting me. Find those people who are going to love you where you're at, but love you enough to not let you stay there.
If you're in school too, I hope your semester goes great! I will be definitely posting more about school-related things in the next few months. Thanks so much for coming along on this journey with me! I also hope that this post challenges you to take risks, and to surround yourself with the good peoples in life that want nothing more than to champion you on.
